Terms and Conditions – Coastal Escape Boat Charters
Welcome to Coastal Escape Boat Charters. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the booking and use of our private boat charter services operating in Malta and Gozo. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Bookings and Payments
- A booking is only confirmed once a deposit of 25% has been received and acknowledged via email or message.
- The remaining balance must be settled on the day by paying the crew, preferably in cash.
- We accept payments by bank transfer, Revolut, or other payment methods.
- All prices are quoted and should be paid in Euro (€).
- Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled charter will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within less than 48 hours of the charter date are non-refundable.
- No-shows or late arrivals will be charged in full and will not be eligible for rescheduling or a refund.
- If you arrive late, the duration of the charter may be reduced accordingly and no refund or extension will be provided.
- Charter Conditions
- Clients must arrive at the designated pick-up location at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- The skipper is fully responsible for the safety of passengers and the vessel and may alter or cancel the route in case of weather concerns or safety reasons.
- Passengers must comply with safety instructions and behave respectfully at all times. Failure to do so may result in early termination of the charter without refund.
- Food and drinks are allowed onboard, but excessive alcohol consumption or unruly behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Any damage to the vessel or its equipment caused by negligence or misconduct will be charged to the client.
- Weather and Force Majeure
- Charters are subject to suitable weather and sea conditions. If conditions are deemed unsafe by the skipper, we reserve the right to cancel, shorten, or reschedule the trip.
- If the charter is cancelled due to weather and rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
- We are not liable for cancellations or changes due to force majeure events, including but not limited to storms, accidents, technical issues, governmental restrictions, or pandemics.
- Liability and Insurance
- Coastal Escape Boat Charters is insured for commercial boat operations, including public liability and passenger coverage.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onboard.
- Passengers undertake all activities (including swimming or snorkelling) at their own risk. We are not liable for any injury, illness, or accident unless caused by our own proven negligence.
- Website Usage
- The content of this website is for your general information and use only. We reserve the right to change content or pricing at any time.
- All content, logos, and images are the intellectual property of Coastal Escape Boat Charters unless otherwise stated.
- Any unauthorised use or reproduction of content may lead to legal action.
- Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of our website or services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
